The modern smart home is evolving rapidly, and with it, the need for comprehensive and easy-to-use solutions. Eutonomy, a trusted manufacturer of complementary solutions for the FIBARO Smart Home, is excited to introduce the new euLINK 2.0 software—bringing a host of new benefits and capabilities for users.

The latest 2.0 version of euLINK allows homeowners to manage all their smart home systems through a single application. This includes the ability to create automated scenarios involving multiple devices throughout the entire home ecosystem. Users can now control one device based on the data provided by another—such as activating electric vehicle charging when the system detects a surplus of energy from photovoltaic panels.

Optimized Energy Flow and Smart Grid Integration

euLINK 2.0 also optimizes the flow of energy within buildings, improving self-consumption of energy generated by photovoltaic systems. This new version integrates devices with the Smart Grid Ready (SG-Ready) standard, offering support for protocols such as DALI, MODBUS, and RS-485. This makes it ideal for more demanding environments like offices, schools, hotels, and warehouses.

Enhanced Management of Heating and Cooling Systems

In the previous software version, devices like air conditioners, heat pumps, and recuperators appeared as generic devices in the FIBARO system, where all components were consolidated into a single control panel. With euLINK 2.0, each component of these devices (such as thermostats, sensors, and switches) is now displayed individually. This offers detailed control over the temperature, fan speed, and operational modes (heating or cooling) directly from the FIBARO interface.

Advanced Scene Integration and Monitoring

euLINK 2.0 enables seamless integration of heating and cooling systems into FIBARO’s automation scenes, including block scenes. This allows users to automate their smart home devices based on specific conditions or schedules. Additionally, the new software provides enhanced monitoring capabilities, allowing users to track energy consumption and performance metrics for a more comprehensive overview of their home’s efficiency.

AI-Powered Support and a Template Editor

Looking ahead, Eutonomy is introducing AI-powered support through ChatGPT, which will provide instant answers to technical queries based on an extensive knowledge base. Additionally, a new graphical template editor will allow advanced installers to create custom integration templates for devices using the MODBUS protocol without the need for external support.

Summary

euLINK 2.0 is a game-changer for smart home management, offering users greater control, flexibility, and the ability to optimize their energy usage. Whether in residential or commercial environments, the second generation of euLINK delivers the tools needed to create efficient, intelligent living spaces.

Benefits of using euLINK solutions:

Ability to manage all home systems using a single application.

Capability to create scenarios across multiple devices within the entire home ecosystem.

Ability to control one device based on data read from another device (e.g., starting electric vehicle charging upon detecting surplus energy from photovoltaics).

Optimization of energy flow in buildings, improving PV energy self-consumption, and adding Smart Grid Ready functionality to integrated devices (SG Ready standard).

Integration of devices using protocols other than your Smart Home (DALI, MODBUS, RS 485 serial transmission, and others).

Application of FIBARO Smart Home in more demanding environments (offices, businesses, schools, hotels, retail spaces, warehouses, factories, etc.).
